Laser re-surfacing can rejuvenate and smooth your skins texture within one treatment…
This treatment is an effective, skin deep procedure. It requires a maximum amount of time, however delivers excellent results with minimal effort.
How is the procedure performed?
A full face resurfacing usually takes an hour using a laser to penetrate the skins surface. The laser works by producing an intense stream of light that vaporises and/or melts away skin tissue to improve wrinkles, scars and blemishes. This procedure can be performed under a general anaesthetic, light sedation or topical anaesthesia.
Recovery
After the procedure, the treated area will have the same sensation as mild sunburn. The skin can remain raw for up to seven to ten days and it common to be blushed and swollen for up to one week. We recommend that patients have two to three weeks off from work. Results will not be immediate, however start to show as healing begins. As the skin heals and collagen begins regenerating, fine lines and wrinkles will start to improve and continue this way for the next few months.
