This procedure is the mildest treatment of the skin peels. It takes the shortest amount of healing time and is also called a ‘weekend peel’ due to its fast recovery speed. This treatment takes the most amount of treatments.
Procedure time
The procedure for a full face will take approximately 45 minutes. A topical anaesthetic needs to be applied at least 45 minutes before the procedure, in order to minimise any discomfort.
One treatment is sufficient for six to twelve months but it is recommended that a series of three to four treatments are required, spaced six to eight weeks apart. It is the perfect treatment in between microdermabrasion and full skin resurfacing.
Recovery
Immediately after the procedure a burning sensation is experienced and can last up to three to four hours. During the next two days, minor pealing can occur, and swelling will dissipate in this time.
